I have a problem with my DC012 radio. The radio works fine when plugged in, but it will not charge a battery pack nor will it run on a fully charged battery pack when it is unplugged. Have any of you had the same problem with this? I wanted to get a little feedback before I tore it apart. It has lived a pretty easy life and has not been abused at all.
It’s not supposed to be able to charge a battery when it’s unplugged. It should however run off a battery when unplugged so either your battery is bad (test it in another tool to ensure) or the charger has broke inside the radio (which would require service. If the radio is under a year old then just return it to store and exchange it for a new one.
