Hi guys,
My vise is acting a bit weird, lately, but it wasn’t always like this.
When I use the quick release, most of the time it’s not ready to use right away. It seems that the mechanism doesn’t sit properly on the threaded bar, and I have to turn it to the left a little to fit it in properly, and only then can I tighten it.
This is a little frustrating because sometimes I tighten it right away to secure the piece, and the mechanism “jumps” because it’s not properly seated, and the piece falls on the ground.
Has this happened to you?
I’ve tried to figure out why, but I don’t understand why it does this.
And the strangest thing is that it only started doing this recently; it didn’t always do it.
Here are some videos:

Any thoughts?
Which I could help but I just have an old Wilton that doesn’t have the quick release. I like the quick release much better but I am not familiar with the mechanism behind it.
