Hi I’ve had DeWalt tools for along time and never had a complaint until now.
I’m not happy with this product and feel that I’ve been screwed over.
I’ve had 2 of these guns and both have expensive stories behind them. The 1st one was a dream, until it wasn’t. It worked great until it stopped firing so i brought it to a dealer and they said they had to send it away to be looked at. They called me and said it was finished and for $250 i could get it replaced, because i had been complaining about it before the warrantee expired but it didn’t actually quit until just after. So i paid the $250 only to get a lemon. I had problems from the start with the new one. Nails jamming steady, They told me the spring was too weak and they could send me another one. Fixed that only to have it quit all together. a guy at the dealer took it apart and found a piece of nail inside. I don’t know how it got there but it made me think of the 1st gun and how maybe it could have been fixed in 5 minutes. Anyway back to work and it starts having a different problem. like it was getting weaker. I changes the batteries but the problem persisted. It would fire the 1st 2 nails all the way in but the next 3 nails would only go in a little ways being progressively less. I sent it away like the other one and I’m being told that the power head is finished. I asked for it back and now i don’t know what to do with it.
I’m finished with this particular DeWalt product, its too bad because when it work it was great.
Anyone else have similar problems
Yeah, I’ve had similar issues with the DCN692 — works great at first but starts jamming and losing power over time. It’s a shame since DeWalt usually nails reliability on their other tools.
