Hey Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this—lately on colder mornings, some of my tools are acting a little off at startup. I’m not talking sub-zero temps, just your typical chilly start to the day.
This week I was doing some light concrete work—nothing major, just patching up a couple spots in a small driveway—and my cordless impact driver seemed sluggish right out the gate. After a few minutes it was fine, but it threw me off. Same thing happened with a laser level last week; battery was full but it was flickering a bit until it warmed up.
I’m used to a little lag in colder weather, but this year it feels more noticeable. Could be the batteries, or maybe I’m just noticing it more now that I’m outside earlier.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Also wanted to mention something else I ran into while working on a small concrete repair—it ties into what I shared above and might help someone in a similar situation.
If it’s cold weather, mine are always a little slow until they heat up. I think it’s just the Lithium Batteries
