Is there a Tools in Action Discord? If not is there an interest in one? Discord has kinda turned into the replacement for forums for many people. If @Eric – TIA or @Dan – TIA is interested I could help create one if needed. I have a bit of experience with making a Discord. It could potentially open up more options for the TIA forum like bot support (auto post social media or website posts for example), voice channels, and more.
I’ve never really checked Discord out, but I do love interacting with people in these types of environments. I know a lot of streamers and YouTube types have Discords, and my understanding is that there are chat servers as well as other ways to communicate. I’d be interested if TIA got one. It would probably mesh well with the YouTube channel.
Yes, that would be awesome and we would be interested. Honestly, I heard of Discord but have zero experience. I think I went to it once but I didn’t take the time to navigate through it but 100% open to it. Thanks, let talk.

Yes imagine FaceTime mixed with a forum mixed with iMessage. You got your voice/video chat, you got instant messaging style features, and forum style features also you got bot support which means you could have something setup where whenever Dan or Eric post something it shows up automatically on the discord.

Yup I can maybe work on a prototype Sunday. Kinda a busy time of year for me with mowing just starting back up. When it is finished I will send you and Dan an invite link. Maybe you can write down what you like/don’t like so we can get the proper changes made. Once it meets your standards we could possibly throw the link out to the public. You will need an account of course to view the server.
Sweet, that is an awesome Idea and sounds cool. I know this is your busy time of year, so no rush and before we start it, i want to talk with Dan and make sure we work it because I don’t want you to build or do something and we don’t do anything with it. It sounds like an awesome idea and very beneficial, but I don’t want to waste your time. I just don’t know anything about it but like what you were saying.

Link has been sent to you and Dan in a dm on here. I got a good bit done today. Lots of fine tuning to do but the basics are implemented. I based it heavily on this forum. I made a few tweaks that I thought might be useful additions. The goal was to keep in spirit of this forum.
Also things are automated in the social media channels. I will check tomorrow if things are working. It really would only work if something gets posted. I doubt anything will post at this late hour.
