Need to replace the drill chuck on a Milwaukee power plus 18 v cordless. Don’t see screw head inside to remove the screw and no screw appears broken off. Know about using large hex wrench counter clockwise with hammer… no results. Is this model just a tight fit without screw to hold the chuck?
Some older Milwaukee models do have a chuck that’s just press-fit without a retaining screw, though it’s rare. If there’s no visible screw and no signs of one breaking off, it might just be friction-fit. Applying penetrating oil and giving it a few solid taps in the right direction might help loosen it.
