Ryobi 21 degree framing nailer nail size

Hey folks.  I’m looking at a Ryobi 21 degree 3 inch framing nailer.  The minimum size stick round headed nails it SAYS it will use is 2 inch.  Does anybody here have any experience using or trying to use 1-3/4 length? 15 degree collated. That’s the max size I think that can be safely used on a 2×4 fence runner and 1/2 inch pickets.

 

I have an old Rigid that will take 1.5 to 3.5 in coil nails, but is pneumatic and a pain.
