Hi,
i have a well used btd 146 impact driver which over the years has lost a lot of power and now is slow to spin up when under no load and doesn’t spin as fast as it used to. Also gets pretty hot in use.
ive replaced the yoke and armature (motor) but disappointingly didn’t help. The batteries are fine and so are the brushes.
what else could be robbing it of its power? Trigger assembly?
thanks in advance.
if I remember it’s brushed, did you replace those also? If so then the last thing is bearings.
The brushes looked good, but i will replace them anyway to try. Bearings all seem to be spinning freely, the motor is not struggling to spin, seems like theres just not enough power getting to the motor, which is why i was thinking it might be something to do with the trigger/speed control?

yep, that’s an option too
