Hi. I have lurked here for about a year. Love reading at this tool forum.

I want to ask for help please? I own a very little used Ryobi 2300 B/T Inverter/Gen. It’s only been run about 2 times for less that 30mins total to test. The 2nd time I changed the oil, added some fuel stabilizer. Then put away in the garage. It ran perfect hooked up the power tools last about 5 months ago.

Today I went to test run it again just in case because of the weather. Too my surprise and dismay, when I connect a small hair dryer to test, it would stall and shut down. Checked some other small tools like a small drill and the same happens. Normally before on Auto detect it would rev up to put out power, but now it just stalls and shuts and putters off. I already tried cutting off Auto, and hit the Reset the Cir Breaker.

I researched and saw that one cause if not overloaded, was the Inverter Board could be bad? But it can’t be a overload with such 1 small item powered. The B/T app also show a Overload Waring also. I did disconnect shut down restart tried a different thing like a small drill and same problem. I’m kinda bumbed out because I have only run this thing like 30-45 mins total ever. I attached a pic of one like with the front controls.

Anyone know anything that could be wrong beside the whole very expensive to replace Inverter Board gone completely bad. Any info or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Wish I could help but I am not sure a fix.  From what I heard, this happened with others also and haven’t seen a fix.
