Hi guys. I’m hoping somebody here can help with an ongoing issue. I bought this radio in March and straight out of the box I noticed the issue, when listening to FM or DAB the radio cuts outs for 1/2 seconds before coming back on, the issue doesn’t happen when connected to Bluetooth.

I listen to a lot of podcasts so I brushed off the problem until I started listening to the radio more often. I sent the radio for repair under warranty 2 weeks ago, I received a brand new radio in it’s place but the same issue persisted. I contacted Milwaukee who was surprised at the issue and said to send it off again as it’s unlikely a third radio would have the same problem.

Well, another radio came back Christmas Eve and YES the same issue is happening. Previously I asked if it was a setting that needed changed but I was told there shouldn’t be and to do a factory reset (even though it’s a new radio) but of course this didn’t work.

Has anyone had this problem or offer any advice?

Hi,

I too am having this issue! I assumed it was something to do with connection / signal strength perhaps? I can only put it down to that. Whilst using DAB my RSSI: number usually fluctuates between 45-60, unsure if lower or higher is stronger signal?
I won’t bother sending mine back if you’re still having the issue on a 3rd replacement, and perhaps live with it. Despite the high cost of the radio I can live with it.   Let me know if you do solve it!

It’s strange, my DAB works fine as well as listening to anything via Bluetooth. But FM always cuts out. I prefer to listen to FM on site and it’s so annoying!

I worked in a house with an electrician who has this radio but he doesn’t have the issue at all! We sat ours side by side on the same FM station and only mine cut out.

I’ve emailed milwaukee who have only replied once from Thursday. I’ll let you know if I have the issue resolved. But it’s good to know someone else has the same issue.

Hi. I have European version of this radio. My M18 Raddab+G2 has the same issue. FM and Dab radio cuts out for a while. The issue doesn’t happen when playing music via bluetooth. I think that this issue is caused by bug in firmware. What firmware version is your radio and what is the production date coded on the label? Radio has other firmware for FM and Dab radio function.

Other issue that I noticed is problem with decoding FM radiotext. I compared it with my Festool BR 10 Radio that is decodind properly all long radiotext comunicates. It looks like Milwaukee Raddab+G2 has problem with long radiotext comunicates.

I need to say that interface is very poor and firmware should be upgreaded in future. I need more settings. Display ilumination sholud be regulated. FM radio needs signal meter. Display could be more more informative in this size. This is well designed radio but still needs some corrections. Festool Br 10 radio is much perfect made than Milwaukee. Smaller Festool display iluminates all the time and is more infirmative. Always display clock and signal level.  Rds always show two type of information. Upper line of display shows program service and lower line shows radiotext. All clear without bugs head to head with Milwaukee. Festool used as a bluetooth speaker also displays name of the song. Milwaukee only display smartfon name. Festool has more funcionality like aux connection and loud speaker for phone calls.

My Milwaukee radio was bought in Poland at the and of 2024 year.
