DCB1106 6ah charger up in smoke, battery still likely good?

Plugged in a 5ah to my charger, then sparks/pop/smoke/smell. Battery purchased in April, 2023 mfg date. Charger is around 3yr old.

I see no damage on the battery, shows 1 bar. All the exitement seemed to come from the charger. Risk trying to charge this in a different charger? Dewalt is sending a new battery, but I hate to recycle something that is perfectly good.
