I was given an old be very capable Rockwell 34-010 miter saw. The drive belt that hooks the motor to the arbor (shaft) the blade is mounted on finally broke. I took the saw apart and was able to pull the belt out since it was broken but can’t seem to figure out how to get the new belt on the pullys. The housing around the blade arbor pully is so close there is no room to slip the belt on. Can’t find a manual or how-to anywhere on the web.
Any help/advice is appreciated. The saw is an oldy but goody and is too good to scrap.
Same issue. Did you figure out how to get the belt onto that bottom gear? Thanks.
