I have the (4) deep cycle lead acid batteries in my mower. Has anyone swapped out for LifePO4 batteries? I’m just learning about LifePO4 batteries and wondering if there’s anything incompatible between the two platforms.

swapping your lead acid batteries for LiFePO4 batteries in a zero turn mower can be a great upgrade, as LiFePO4 offers longer lifespan, lighter weight, and more efficient energy use. However, there are a few things to consider. First, ensure the voltage of the LiFePO4 batteries matches the system requirements of your mower. Also, LiFePO4 batteries have different charging characteristics, so you may need to adjust or replace the charger to ensure compatibility. Make sure your mower’s BMS (Battery Management System) is compatible with LiFePO4 or consider adding one to protect the new batteries. Lastly, the weight difference may affect balance, so check if the new batteries fit in the existing space.
