One of the things I absolutely hate about this mower is how badly and quickly grass accumulates under the deck. First thing out of the box I undercoated the entire underside with what was supposed to be a premium graphite undercoat which was supposed to eliminate this problem. The finish seemed quite slippery and I really expected it to work. But alas, it doesn’t seem to even minimize the buildup. I don’t cut wet grass though even dry grass contains a lot of moisture. I’m not using mulching blades either. I tried the mulching kit but that was impossible. Any thoughts on a product that might work better? I’m getting tired of getting under there almost every time I mow to clean it.

to reduce grass buildup, you might want to try a spray on anti stick coating designed specifically for mower decks, such as Tru Clean Deck Spray or Mower Deck Spray. These products help prevent grass from sticking without needing to reapply as often. Additionally, consider using high lift blades, which improve airflow and reduce clumping under the deck. If you haven’t yet, check the deck’s design for smoothness or any areas where grass might catch.
