I’m trying to repair an old TP800 with, among other things, a bad (as in gone) armature bearing.
How do I remove the connecting rod and crank gear?

I’m not sure what exactly is happening, but you need to be systematic. Don’t just spot-check things here and there, especially visually — work through the schematic section by section, checking everything you can, starting with the power supply. Verify EVERY voltage output and check EVERY IC/active component for correct power.
