Recently Bosch Pro. has started to become so active in introducing OPE while they have another platform I think called Home and Garden and they had their OPE in that platform, they have an alliance for that platform, too. A lot of brands have joined them, it is a bit odd to expect other brands to remain in that battery platform while Bosch itself moving their OPE cordless tools to their Pro. platform. What do you think? Don’t you think Bosch is a bit too much?!

It’s hard to say.  I love Bosch.  But it seems like Bosch doesn’t care about the states.  Only here because they have to be so we don’t see a lot of Bosch over here and doesn’t make a lot of sense to invest in Bosch in the states because the line isn’t huge such as other brands.  Personally, I think it is one of the best brands, but it’s just hard to back here.

Good point, thanks for sharing. It is not the first time I hear that non American brands are not easily available in US, in general, that gives me the feeling of “Monopoly of American market for American brands like DeWALT (SBD) and Milwaukee (TTI)” and and the gates for European brands are just partially open, this is not the case in Europe though. If it was 70’s, 80’s or 90’s it would be OK as you had a lot of American brands making “Made in USA” tools but that is not the case any more.
