Steinel is a German brand making its cordless tools in Romania, They used Bosch 36V batteries in the past for their cordless heat guns. Then they joined CAS (cordless Alliance System) with Metabo and recently they joined AmpShare battery alliance with Bosch. There are a few brands within both platforms (Steinel, Rothenberger and Fischer) as much as I remember. Rothenberger claims that they will remain in both platforms. Today I saw a photo of a new cordless heat gun from Steinel using Bosch batteries. Lets see if they will also remain in both platforms or not.
