So I recently picked up a Wera Kraftform Kompact bit driver. It’s pretty nice, but I find the collar that releases the hex shaft to be REALLY stiff. For anyone that has one, is this normal?

Yes, once it breaks in, it becomes a little easier.
Wera stuff is fantastic. I haven’t tried this screwdriver but I would imagine over time things wear in and become easier.
