I got into it about government pensions and some employees gaming the system by spiking their retirement at the end of their term being employed. I guess people think I’m an asshole for questioning that position that its all the politicians fault for not writing tighter contracts. I think the problem is on both sides the people taking advantage and the politicians that didn’t see the problem coming. I have a problem when some one gets more money in retirement than they did while they were working. I would be shocked to see if that happened in the private sector regarding pensions.
I’ve come to hate politics. Everyone’s an expert and in truth nobody knows shit.
Never talk about politics at work either that’s always a scenario for a bad day.
When people start to talk politics I just walk away. I would rather have someone think that I’m a asshole then to remove all the doubt.
I’m usually really good about it, but it just really irked me today. I think its because I was already in a foul mood. I had been cleaning off catch basins around the neighborhood too prevent flooding. It really kicked my ass my right shoulder gets sore real easy.
No matter your stance there are two things that really polarize people, politics and religion.
That’s why the only 2 rules we have here are no political and no religious posts.
