So, I am looking at figuring out how to set up a my power tools from various manufactures to one of my two Ridgid shop vans. Ends up I want to buy the dust extractor from Festool but at $485 for the wee one I am not so sure I want to do that right away. I have changed the lay out of tools in my woodshop and just bought the Carvex from Festool and am looking to get an RO 125 sander too. Anyways, I was researching on line and came across a really cool article from Todd Clippinger on Lumberjocks.com

I can set a hyperlink on account I have an iPad and for the life of me cannot figure it out so….happy reading.

No I used my desk top. I’m home sitting in my office getting ready to meet with my tax guy.

Good article Chris. I didn’t know the festool vacuum hose fits other tools. Have you seen this from Craftsman (http://www.sears.com/craftsman-auto-switch/p-00924031000P ) . Not as built-in as Festools dust extractor, but pretty cool. I have been wanting to get one and connect it to my shop vac and tools.
Edit: I just read the part in the article mentioning the craftsman auto switch. Never mind.
Bosch just released some new shop vacs. Check out toolguyd for the article.
Thanks Harold! No problem-o 🙂
