As I uderstand Dewalt powertools are manufactured in different locations and it seems that mainly in China. I have been able to find from local hardware stores DCD996 powerdrill manufactured in the Czech Republic that I purchased. I don´t want any made in China tools. I have been looking for DCF887, DCS355, DCF899 and DCF894. But my quest has been futile. I can only find Type I, PRC, Made in China versions of those powertools. So does anyone of you own mentioned tools manufactured in elsewhere? Should I keep looking or is it all in vain?

Most of DeWALT Drills and Impact Drivers that were made in Czech Rep. are slowly slowly becoming “Made in China”. So don’t dream that if you buy exactly the same tool from DeWALT it is going to be made in Czech Rep.
DeWALT tools soon will be only produced in China and Mexico and I am not happy with the quality of none.
If you want non-Chinese tools go for CAS tools, a lot of good brands there and mostly made in Europe. Mafell, Lamello, Rothenberger, Gesipa and others.
