Because DeWalt is the Flag Ship brand at SBD. They don’t copy their parent companies lesser brands. The Craftsman tile saw is just a rebranded Porter Cable. If they did that, they would lose customer confidence fast. That’s like asking why doesn’t Milwaukee copy Ryobi so they can finally put out a track saw. Milwaukee fans would lose their minds.

I know the Porter Cable tile saw, Porter Cable also stands behind Craftsman and they did copy that tile saw from Porter cable. So I would say that was a mistake to make that tile saw with Porter Cable at first stage so they could not make a copy of that for DeWALT. Porter Cable is almost a dead brand. I would really like the decision makers in SBD to take an IQ test!
Looks like I may have been mistaken. I went over all the DeWalt and PC models. This saw is not a clone of any of them.
Could it be that the new RP line now has its own R&D budget? This is exciting!!
