Milwaukee fuel grinder making clicking / rattle noise

 Hi everyone,

 

I recently bought a used Milwaukee grinder (M18 cag115x). When it spins down I noticed there is a strange clicking and rattle noise. Is this normal or is it a broken bearing?

Its a little hard to tell from listening but I think what you’re hearing is normal.  The magnetic field and armature in the motor act almost like a brake so as it slows down they make a clicking noise as it jumps from one magnet to the next.  Also if you put a disk on and just turn it by had you should get some resistance and then that same click.
