Hello All,
Apologies if this is a dumb question, this is my first time using a drill so my knowledge is limited!
When replacing the drill bit on my fairly new Makita drill on release of the old bit, I think I may have forced the chuck to hard and now it is stuck with the jaw permanently open. Whenever I turn the chuck clockwise its stuck and does lot let me close the Jaw.
Is this a common issue? Can it be fixed? Any general advise would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!
If it’s stuck and you can not close them, grab some pliers. It shouldn’t be stuck if you opened it by hand. Probably just new and tight.
