Brand new saw. I experience this when changing blades as well as backtracking: backtracking causes enough friction to make the blade holder collide with the blade release lever.
What should I do? Am I using it incorrectly?
Here is a photo of the split pin colliding with the release mechanism.
I don’t have that saw, but I am still sure that is faulty. The part that accepts the blade should move forward as it is doing, but it should also snap back when you release the lever.
