The nailer will not fire. Nor does the fan come on. Only the left light blinks about 20 times, fast.

According to the linked instruction manual, on page 12 / 14, the right light will flash continuously if a nail becomes jammed in the nose piece.
Has the prescribed procedure been followed for clearing a nail jam? If so, what were the results?
