Hi guys,
Just used my 12v hilti hackzall or sawzall for the first time; SR 2-A12
It leaked quite a bit of grease from the piston head section. It also doesnt appear to be abating. More and more grease appears.
Granted this was a heavy industrial first use, probably used it for 60mins straight but that is what Hilti is made for.
Is this normal–do I have to regrease. Warranty this? Anyone with experience?
After a couple months or years of use, depending on how often you use it, you may want to open up the case and re grease the gear box. My m18 sawzall lasted 8 months of construction before it started to lock up, opened it up, cleaned and greased the gear box, and it’s still going strong.
