I purchased a NB 2012 planer and 193036-7 Exhaust hood. The 193036-7 hood has a round port with outside diameter of 2.875 inches. The inside diameter of the port is 2.625. ( 2 – 7/8 inch OD, by 2-5/8 ID) . My portable shop vac has an outside diameter of 2.25 ( 2/1/4 inch) size. I am having difficulty finding and adaptor that will connect the two together. I have emailed Mackita, searched the internet for some adaptor, Not coming up with one. Can anyone suggest a solution.

I had the same problem with the Dewalt planer I was using yesterday. I do know my local Home Depot has a bunch of adapter and that worked for me last time.
If you look in the comments of that link you sent, there were several solutions that looked like they would work.
