18 volt router depth slipping

Evening all.

I’ve been having an issue with my 18v router depth slipping down when using it.

At first I though it was the collar so ordered a new one but is still continuing to do so.

Used regularly, normally for latch plates on doors. only use around a 10mm trend straight router bit or a roundover bit occasionally.

Any help would be appreciated 

I imagine you’ve tried tightening the latch bolt itself to make sure it clenches down adequately? Beyond that perhaps you have some oily residue at the interface. You could try wiping it down kinda hard and then hitting it with basic soap and water.

Yes tried tightening already.

i will strip it down & give it a good clean over the weekend.
