This one is made in China. DTW285 was made in the UK.
I might keep an eye out for the 285 on sale. I don’t have a strong need for this one but the upcoming mid-torque model has my eye a little more.

the mid-torque is out in America.
XWT17Z and XWT18Z. They’re on Acme, Acetool and Toolnut.

Well, I’ve been patiently checking for months and somehow missed the release! Can’t wait to pick one up.
It shows up on Makita’s website…but it hasn’t hit shelves at HD yet
