I am a systems/network engineer with a big focus on information security to keep businesses as safe as possible against cyber crime. Moved into this side of the IT industry after several boring years of programming for web platforms. Also currently at university for computer science.

I love tools and working with my hands so instead of being sat at a desk all day, I get to go install all types of systems and then set them up and program etc. Best of both worlds.

This is as good a thread as any for a first post I suppose. I have a small business doing car customizations. What keeps me the busiest is installing backup cameras. I do everything from work trucks to RV’s and heavy equipment, have even installed cameras on the wingtips of a small airplane.

I work mobile and pull a small trailer with a five drawer tool cart and a Little Giant ladder.

EDC power tools are Dewalt 20v brushless drill, right angle drill and cordless shop vac, and Bosch 12v impact and ps21 pocket driver.

Since the OP posted his link I’ll post my new FB page with a smattering of pics of my day to day work.
