I just had my Black & Decker 3in.X18in. belt sander lock up. I though it could be the brushes, but that is no the case. I bought it three years ago. I do not want a repeat of this and do not have hundreds of dollars to spend on a new on. I see that I can get a Royobi of the same size for around $50. Is the Ryobi going to withstand some heavy use or not? Opinions?
If its going to be used on projects here and there, the Ryobi is a good buy. If its going to see heavy, regular, use, spring for a Makita or Bosch.
Here is how you spin it. Are you gonna use this tool twice a month? or twice a week? If is something you use all the time, invest your money is something that is a little more beefer. Just echoing Conductor
