Has anybody here in the crew installed one of these $5,000 2 piece salad bowl tubs. I know that there has to be an easier way to doing it than the way we did. This was the biggest pain in the ass.

nice looking bathroom, I am in the middle of putting one in right now, not quite $5000 but close….only difference is mine will have a free standing faucet ….good thing for me is the room right below it is gutted so ceiling is exposed so some work can be done from below as well.

It looks amazing but, the soaking tub isn’t for me. I would rather invest in a crazy shower myself with all the goodies.

I feel the same way don’t think I have taken a bath my entire adult life, a shower once or twice a month is good…..lol but happy wife happy life now all she wants is I shower twice as much….haha

We have a 37″ x 60″ shower with dual shower heads and a steam unit. In 3 years the free standing tub has maybe been used 4 times.

In the last house we did we put in all the body sprays in the shower. That was a total waste and we did not bother with that again.

I’m sure that this is the first time I have used stainless washer hoses to hook up the faucet and the black granite top in the back is about 22 inches away from the tube is covering the bubbler system.  I would have like to have worked it from below but it was over the kitchen island stove and the ceiling was nine and a half foot  high.

Here is the shower. It has 2 body sprays a hand held and a shower head. all the fixtures are high end Kohler and lets just say I’m not impressed.
