I would like to get my hands on a set of ryobi batteries and fast charger. Would like to get a small battery like the 2.5 Lithium + and a 5.0 battery. I think once you have the batteries your sorted for everything else.
That’s the nice thing about these lineups. Once you get that battery and charger your off. Roy I is great because you can power all of their tools in the 18v lineup with any of their 18v batteries.
Yeah the only problem Chris is Ryobi ain’t easy to get here in Ireland. Very overpriced compared to USA and UK. Tried to get my hands on a brushless Ryobi drill and a battery with the kit and it was coming in at $300. Like I said if you had the batteries and charger you could get the tools for a handy price.
Have you tried eBay for these or are the import fees too high?
Yeah that’s where I have been looking and still the same prices. Delivery charges from the US are crazy high. Here is an example of the eBay price for the brushless kit – – – > http://m.ebay.ie/itm/RYOBI-18V-CORDLESS-BRUSHLESS-COMBI-DRILL-COMPLETE-KIT-ACCESSORIES-/291999998046?hash=item43fc8e605e%3Ag%3AcVIAAOSw9GhYedir&_trkparms=pageci%3A8308f54c-6ef3-11e7-950e-74dbd1802bb7%7Cparentrq%3A6af13dd915d0aa12f1ea5c40fffa77f4%7Ciid%3A6
A better version in US is 150 dollars. Crazy prices over here.
Yeeeeesh!

Ryobi is a great brand for the value. With there growing range and extended battery platform. They are implimenting new designs like quiet strike impacts etc. A light weight battery and a 5.0ah battery will do you fine and is a great Idea because the 2.5s are so light they feel like a toy compared to the 5.0ah.
With Ryobi pushing out more premium but well priced brushless tools they are definitely looking more prosumer than for the DIY person. I had early lithium Ryobi tools before Milwaukee and they did the job but the designs or performance were not optimal.
@DR99 If I could get the Ryobi brushless at the price it is in the states I probably would but it’s just crazy expensive here for something that’s aimed at diy and home improvement.
