Nice, I saw some clips from WOC about their new drills

But they missed using the Bosch drill in this test

It’s about time! Over 1000 inch lbs can ruin your day pretty quick.
They could have used Bosch with torque control, but I don’t think they were trying to bash anyone else, just show how it worked. They didn’t claim to invent torque control. I liked that it was just a simple demo, no sales guy chewing your ear off.

Was a nice demo, I’ve been on the business end of the dewalt snagging like that it doesn’t feel good, it’s good tech and I think every drill over a set torque should have this tech, especially if your doing ladder work

I was drilling 18″ of poured concrete with the big Hilti, I hit rebar and the drill spun, the handle hit me in the face and knocked me off my 6ft ladder.

I am very happy this is starting to be more popular!

They had a great booth at WOC.  Glad to see they have some cool tools coming out or some that are all ready out.

how does this compare to what Bosch offer’s?

One of the reasons I had ordered the Bosch HDS183 was because of it’s anti-kickback feature.
I switched back to the DCD996 because I knew that I won’t be doing any major drilling which might lead to a kickback situation, and the price on the Dewalt combo was just too good to be true.

As in a SDS max…??

Does that have a mechanical clutch?

It was a pretty old Hilti, not sure. I would assume not, given the kick after it hit the rebar.

I have to own the fact that I was not using the ladder or tool ….”correctly”….[emoji56]

Come to think of it, that’s the same Hilti that split my thumb open…
