I have really been getting into Kreg in the last year or so. And recently noticed that the Kreg things are all over the place. haha. The Kreg K4 Jig is sitting on my shelf, all my drill bits, allen key, square bits are all in an organizer and one of my bags. My K3 kit in on the shelf, the clamps are hanging up & the my boxes of screws are all in a Milwaukee organizer, etc. …you get it, haha.
I saw on the site, that all they have now is the “Kreg System Organizer” ..This looks ok, but is really built for the new Kreg K5 system with the 2 sides (the big hole in the middle is meant for those parts) so its a lot of wasted space for 90% of people who have the K4 system.

I also came across some images online of an old Kreg toolbox, that looks like it came in a few sizes. This thing is super cool, holed the screws on top and all the jigs and parts clip in the bottom perfectly. but looks like they don’t make anymore. Should i grab one online, looks like a few sites still have some left, but they are like $80 shipped!! does anytone have suggestions on how they store all their Kreg stuff??

Those look nice! Didn’t realize they made kreg labelled boxes even….
Find something at HD with similar layout and take your kreg jig with you to see if it fits.

Yeah@KnarlyCarl I think you’re right. I do remember seeing one or something that’s almost identical or close enough! A friend I know saw this post and is sending me the $30 organizer I’m going to give it a try!!

looks like a nice box. I think it is $39 on kregs website if I remember correctly.
Much nicer then the husky tool box we use
A DeWALT ds 130 or the smaller Milwaukee Packout organizer could be a good option for a k4 jig.
That new Kreg storage box is crap. Plastic clips on the front and it doesn’t fit in any stackable storage option. I’ll pass and put it all in a Ridgid Pro tool box, ToughSystem, Tstak, or Tloc.
That bottom box is simply a Kreg organizer. I believe Lowe’s still sells them, as does Wal-Mart. Also, some of the Husky branded tool boxes are made by Keter.
The organizers are nice. I went on a mini-spree a few years ago and now own 3 or 4. The toolbox version is similar in function but has a larger storage area.
I have tested a Kreg k5 in a tough system ds130 and it will not fit the main unit on the sides. you would have to remove on the the lid storage deals to have a chance. You can fit the main unit in the middle of the box without box modification but the 2 support wings will not fit.
The organizer I have is also meant for the K5 with the actual jig on one side, the wings in the middle and clamps / MISC. storage on the other side. It also has a slot for the HD jig as well as the micro. I just took the spacer out of my 320 kit and put the mini in as the spacer and added the spacer into the storage of one of the wings of my K5. Then dropped the 320 kit in the misc. storage section of my organizer. I also dropped the hidden hinge jig in since it’s short enough to fit. There are holes for drill bits, driver’s and for hex keys. But I still have the Accucut, Ripcut, Drawer guide jig, hardware jig and corner routing guide set all floating around my shop. They really could do with a customizable, interchangable wall storage system with storage for each of they’re products as well as screws so that whether it’s 1 piece or their entire product line it’s right there at your finger tips. My friends like to use my shop because, well let’s face it they don’t have one of their own, but it’s also very well organized and it stays that way. I put away everything, vacume all the saw dust, metal shavings etc daily when I close it up for the night and when they work in it I tell them to leave anything they use on the work bench and I will put it away and not to worry about cleaning up. It would drive me insane if they where to put things in the wrong place, or vacume up some small tool that would be lost forever and I would be searching for it. So a wall system would work perfectly in my eyes.
