If you’ve ever used an MC nailer, they are incredible. This is a game changer for serious framers that use lots of joist hangers, hurricane ties, hip/ridge ties, post bases, deck ties, etc.

Those nailers are a huge time saver
never used one. They just fasten hangers to joists?
Basically. They have a nose probe to properly get into strong ties. I’d like one, the reviews are great, but I can’t find bare tool and the kit is ridiculous $ in Canada.
This “hanger gun” or metal connector is good for smaller jobs…I have two…I’m a framer and build decks every weekend ,,,during the week ,hundreds of joist hangers,h2.5,ac6z,ls80,hu8 and many more get installed…during the week we use a compressor so air is available and a small hanger gun is better, faster and gets in tight places(like a bostich “strap shot”)…….on the weekend usually no power is available,so cordless is better, faster easier to do …not as many joist hangers to install….that “gun” is heavy compared to a small nailer…..but works flawlessly so far
