Well, my local Home Depot has 3 FlexVolt miter saws on the top shelf.

dilloncorrMember since Sep 2013

Just out of reach… like the pricetag…

wildroamerMember since Apr 2016

Well, I just cancelled my circular saw order, simply because I now have my eye on the track saw, if it does indeed appear in the US at some point.

Still waiting on the grinder and recip, however…

JronmanMember since May 2016

kinda curious why the Fuel is similarly priced to the Flexvolt. Its got only a 10 inch blade, single battery, and no option for corded. Would think it should be a couple hundred dollars lower. The bevel lock for the Fuel is pretty cool.

Im gonna keep my circular saw order because I utilized the free tool deal and would like to keep the free tool. Also I’m thinking about selling the circular saw if I decided I would need the tracksaw more than the circular. I wish I had the option for a tracksaw now but I don’t know how useful it would be on the jobsite for house building. Would be more interested in using it for furniture as something to cut sheet material because I don’t have the budget or space for a cabinet grade tablesaw. Would also make for easy accurate cuts for large solid wood tops that have uneven edges from joining wood together.

wildroamerMember since Apr 2016

I’m with you on the lack of table saw, that’s my reasoning for the track saw. Plus, I have a really nice circ saw, though it is corded.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

The saw kits here in Canada are within $200 of each other. 900 vs 1100. Makes the Dewalt a no brainer. More capacity, hybrid, and comes w two batteries for more versatility w other tools.

I contacted CPO for the second Time and no response……[emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]

I really think the blame lies with DeWalt though on this one [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]

did they give you an extra discount for being on backorder? I would think it should be the least they can do considering its been weeks after the scheduled release date.

DeWALT has the ability to produce X number of tools and divides that pie up to the various folks who sell their tools. They are going to allocate more tools to the folks who sell more. Just like Home Depot is going to send more of the FlexVolt tools to northern Virginia in the DC suburbs than they are going to send to the stores in the western, more rural part of the state. The question is did the big discounters know how many tools they were going to get? If they knew they were going to get only a handful, maybe they should have offered them at full price – $10 or $25 instead of the huge discount, free extra tool, free battery route. Another option would have been for them to offer them to some of their more frequent purchasers first.

It sounds like DeWALT has a bigger winner than they imagined they would have. They will also have to deal with the animosity that these vendors have created for them. It is even worse for them if they have parts and components floating offshore because of the Hanjim bankruptcy, waiting to be unloaded and can’t build more tools because of it.

Tanner just shipped by saw…..I never contacted them but they gave me a call and explained the situation…great customer service……still nothing from CPO…..[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Let me know what you think of the shoe on that saw. I read a complaint about it not being “one piece” or something like that, but when I inspected one in store I didn’t see anything that caused me any concern.

Hugh JassMember since Feb 2015

So CPO just emailed me basically saying they have no idea when they’ll ship my tool but they hope it’s this year, and they’re going to eat 10% on my order.

I understand it’s Dewalt that’s fucking this up by being greedy and letting Home Depot and the like eat up all the orders but I’m pissed from a marketing standpoint that pre orders are the ones getting hosed when we’re the biggest fans/enthusiasts/supporters. It’s not right.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

Hopefully it’s this year? That’s fucked up.

I just got that email  so there going to credit  back to us

Yea,  10%.

joemontagueMember since May 2016

This is turning  out to be a joke I have already paid for my order  a pretty  big order if I hadn’t  I’d probably  cancel  it

77FordMember since Dec 2014

CPO said you can cancel……but not sure how that free tool deal would work……I am just glad CPO finally responded. In my personal email they said mine should ship by the end of September or 1st of October. [emoji19][emoji19][emoji19]

My email said late 2016. No longer have the impact wrenches, so no backing out for me. Oh well. Frankly, the 10% refund is pretty nice, considering this appears to be purely Dewalt ‘s fuck up.

dilloncorrMember since Sep 2013

With the 15% off from the fourth, plus the 10% off (assuming it will actually be 8.5% off) taking the total to 23.5% I guess I can’t complain too much.

BUT this is bull. I want my freakin’ saw.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

Money off sweetens the deal for you guys. It’s unfortunate to have to wait though. Plus, some people can wait and some can’t; some will be adding to an existing arsenal and have previous versions of a tool to use in the meantime. Others maybe purchased it with a project in mind, which would now be on hold.

I contacted CPO directly to get my presumed ship date…stating the end of the month or October…..[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Then the second email from DeWalt with the 10% off, stating end of the year…….I am in for the long hall. [emoji481]

Just got a UPS notification for a shipment from CPO commerce! I thought, YES, FINALLY! MY SAW SHIPPED. But then i remembered that I bought a CPO Hunter fan last weekend. Sure enough… its the fan. Any one hear an estimated ship date yet? Are we going to get these as they roll off the production line or is there some giant cargo container lost at sea full of hundreds of our tools????

BremonMember since Dec 2014

What I’m lead to believe is my grinder is waiting at a UPS pickup for me after work. Not from CPO though. My Truewerk stuff comes via Canada Post, my M18 floodlight is coming via FedEx (boo hiss) and the company I ordered my grinder kit from generally ships with UPS. It’s not a guarantee but it’s as close as I’ve got to one (I’ve received 0 communication from them).

There’s a big difference between Hugh and Comps writing style, pretty easy to tell the two apart lol.
