New Tough System DS130

Nice find! Looks awesome, and continues the made in USA trend. If they keep that up then I’ll put some stock in that being a plus over Team Red.

I see that cart and I just think about all that wasted space. It is too wide anyway. I currently do not own any Tough System boxes. I have about 8 of the Ridgid Pro tool boxes, 1 being the cart. I also have about 10 of the Tstak boxes in varies sizes on 2 rolling bottoms. I also have the Bosch folding hand truck with 8″ wheels for moving items up stairs.

I am however, interested in the tough system bottom box with wheels. I want to get my grubby hands on it to check it out.

It sure looks like it. If they are I will be buying one……unless HD has another $98 sale on those Rigid boxes! 

Both of these new units look like huge steps in the right direction for the Tough System. Looking forward to both of these.

Isn’t the 130 more for hardware and power tool accessories then the actual power tools themselves?

Anyone have the height of the DS130?

It would be nice to see it side by side the DS100 and DS150.

I have found that most tools fit nice in the DS150……just remove the cups. [emoji481]

most do fit in a 150 but a few don’t like my corded planer, router

a few will fit if you remove the tray from the lid

That is a great price! Same as the Ridgid Pro cart. And the handle will tilt backwards to allow the bottom box lid to open up. I am excited to check this out and I don’t own a single ToughSystem box.

Item  must be purchased at the store, contact local store for availability. Unfortunately my local store hasn’t seen any.

I believe only HD stores that currently carry DeWalt’s Toughsystem will have the DS450 when they do arrive……..but who really knows…….lol

That 450 looks cool has anyone seen one cause I can’t find one in a 100 mile radius I’m in central Texas

Checking every day on HD.com. I am hoping mid August they will have them in stock. I have a feeling they will sell out fast is HD keeps the current pricing.

Talked to HD in store today about the DS450. Employee stated that the stores can start ordering them 8/11/16…..and with take 4 days to get to the stores.

I talked to my local store today, Waynesboro, VA, they have a pair on order for them with a tentative arrival date of early October. The funny part about local Tough System availability is that Waynesboro only stocks DS400s, and in Christmas season last year got some tools that came with DS150s, but doesn’t normally stock them. Anyway i plan on getting th DS 450 to house a 20v circular saw and maybe a reciprocating saw. Starting on 8/15 lowes is gonna have a BOGO sale. Basically you buy a flashlight kit with a battery and charger and you get your pick of several bare tools such as an angle grinder, reciprocating saw, circular saw or radio. It’s not the best deal, but I’ve been looking for a 20v led light and some of those tools. So it’s gonna make sense for me. Now if I can just get a toolbox to put everything in. 

The DS130 and 450 look like fall releases. Looking forward to them myself.

That DeWalt deal is okay.

The battery is only the 4ah and the charger is the SLOW charger. The light is the bottom tiered one. I would much rather have the DCL050 area light. I will say it is nice the ‘free’ bare tools category has the more premium versions of the reciprocating and circular saw.

Nice! Did your source say that they would be carried at all Home Depots that carry ToughSystem cases already? Just curious if I’d be seeing them in the Kansas City area by me. 

Hopefully that $59 price tag sticks. 

I was told it depends if the individual store ordered any. I just asked at customer service and she called some one and they verified that 8 were on order to be delivered on 8/18/16. When I asked about the price she stated it was still $59. I would visit or call one of your area HDs and check.

No luck at the two stores closest to me in KC when I checked today. 

Customer Service looked completely dumbfounded when I asked. I even provided the sku and model #. They tried to tell me they were phasing the DS450 out ?.

Did anyone get one? If so do you have pics or a review?

Our local HomeDepots are phasing out all Tough System cases. Also, just in the last week all the large yellow tool displays have been replaced with large shiny red tool displays.

HomeDepot had the same light with a drill and a impact driver. All three in one ToughSystem case for $149.

October 13-18 in store is what the HD website is telling me. Otherwise I’ve seen no confirmation of this thing from anyone on IG or from Dewalt. Still very excited for it though lol
