We made this Celebrate Life plaque. The plaque is made out of Red Oak.
This will be given to the Relay For Life of Williams County, OH to be auctioned off

That’s AWESOME! I couldn’t tell what the cursive b and r were doing, but that’s probably that hardest combination of letters when writing cursive…

Meanwhile I’m dealing with plaque on my teeth……

Thank you

I know what you mean by the b and r. Everytime I go to cut one I have to really pay attention to make sure I’m cutting it right.

Nice scrolling! nicely put together with the backing and the lace. You should stop by the Scroll Saw Village, it’s like TIA, but for Scrollers, great bunch of folks over there.

John GlasseyMember since Jan 2014

Yes wigwag nice people over there. Great ideas.

Trust me. I’m very very far from being a young pup anymore.

That elder stuff might work for me. LOL

They are back up and running, would love to have you join.  I learned so much from the folks there, plus they have an awesome pattern library and a whole section to instructional videos.  You can also check out Steve Goods Pattern Library – http://www.stevedgood.com/catalog/index.php – there is also a forum there, but I don’t spend much time there.

They auctioned the plaque off and it went for about $65.00.

I was happy to have helped for such a good cause.

That’s great to hear. Nice work.

UPDATE: Even better news
My son who is the DJ for the Relay for Life got the final tally of the auction today.

Sweet deal, that’s always nice to think people like your work enough to pay for it, and it didn’t hurt that it is going to a good cause

This thread has inspired me to make a few items on my scroll saw, and  look for a charity to donate it to.
