The DeWALT DCK592L2 combo kit is one of the best kits on the market. It gives you pretty much every tool you will need to complete any job. The sophomore 20V platform has proved to be tough, powerful and reliable. This kit comes with 5 tools and 2 are best in class, the DCD985 Hammer drill and the DCS380 20v reciprocating saw. The kit includes 5 tools, two 3.0 amp hour batteries a charger, circular saw blade and a big bag to hold it all. The DeWALT 20v is a great platform to build an awesome power tool collection. In 2013 we should see a lot of new 20v tools being released.
So what do you get in the premium kit? The Premium adds a magnesium shoe to the circular saw (DCS393) and an adjustable shoe with 4 blade positions to the reciprocating saw (DCS391). Anyway you look at it the DCK592L2 is a great kit to have. One lucky winner will win a kit just like this in the Ultimate Tool Bag Giveaway on 12-25-12

This is a great kit & I would argue that 3 are best in class. I’m including the circular as well, that thing is a beast (dropped mine from my roof & almost cried, it turned on like a champ & kept on going several projects later). The other two are not to shabby either. I also have the XRP’s, which are battled tested & have lasted years of abuse. I hope the 20v will be as rugged.
beautiful set..!!
Great review guys! Keep it up!
Wow that is one of the best kits I’ve ever seen.
like the lights on the impact driver.
Hi everyone and Merry Christmas. I have had my 18v kit for what must be 14 or 15 years. They have served me well. Remodeling small projects to whole house projects. They have been dropped from roofs, landed in water; puddles to basement floods. The only time I’ve had any trouble is when the contacts corroded (basement flood) a little sand paper and a shim and it has worked fine since. I could really use the new set as I only have one battery that still holds a charge well and one other that works a little.
NO body in my family or friends has to ask what i want for christmas, they all know its the same every year. a power tool from Dewalt. i own 7 power tools from DEWALT BUT HAVE MY EYE ON A 20V THIS YEAR . I HOPE REALLY WANT ONE FOR A WHILE NOW

Do you know what the max amount of cuts were that you could do in a 2×4 on one battery with the circular saw, i took this crappy 14.4v skil saw that could cut 5 2x4s on a good day, i converted it to were it will accept a dewalt 18v battery, i just wanted to get something to compare it to, it could cut 50-60 2×4 studs and plus 10 feet of osb on one battery charge.
