When you think Stanley you usually think hammers or pliers that you can get at a local hardware store. Well turns out Stanley makes some specialty industrial tools also. Like the ones on the Ford Taurus assembly line here in Chicago. Check out this video where Mike Rowe shows you the tools in action.
wow who knew? Tough tools to build Ford tough!
Stanley tough
Isn’t proto and Stanley the same?
Stanley/Black & Decker owns Proto, Mac Tools, Blackhawk, Expert, Facom, Virax, and though they don’t use it currently, the rights to the New Britain name. They own Dewalt, Porter Cable, and Bostich too. They also owned the Husky brand before it was sold to Home Depot and many Husky tools are still produced by Stanley under contract.
Stanley makes great tools and not so great tools, just depends on what you’re looking to use them for and how much you’re willing to pay.
That’s cool!
That explains fords problems
I live a few miles from the Torrence facility here at Chi-Town. Good to see good American company using US tools. Laters TIA
