WORX GT 2.0 woo hoo. I must admit I liked the original WORX GT a lot and thought it was a good cordless trimmer and especially a good edger. Early units had a few hiccups with the batteries which WORX resolved. The new 2.0 has refined the WORX GT into one of the best trimmers on the market. Let's touch base on some of these features.
20V Power: The lithium ion pack is light and packs a punch. While it is not the most powerful cordless trimmer on the market it has ample power and runtime. The compact charger will top off your battery in about 3 hours.
Comfort: Weighing in at 5.7lbs, it has an adjustable handle just like the previous version. The handle allows you to get it into just the right position. You can also tilt the head to get a better angle and make it easier on your back. On the previous GT you had to sternly snap the head into place. With the 2.0 there is an unlock knob that easily allows you to rotate the head into its indented position. You can also adjust the height.
Edger: I have said it before and I will say it again, the WORX GT is an awesome edger. You just rotate the head and put on the curb wheel. It cuts really nice lines and because it's so light, it's a breeze to operate.
Mini Mower: With another wheel position change and head twist the GT becomes a mini mower. This does a good job of creating an even cut in areas where your mower cannot reach. Since the wheel is on the deflector shield, there is a bit of flex. This was especially noticeable on rough terrain.
Spool: Spooling a string trimmer can be one of the most daunting tasks ever! Who hasn't strung it up all tight only to find out that you did it wrong or the springs open at the last minute. The WORX GT uses replaceable cartridges with the spool for life program. You can also re-spool them yourself. The auto feed system on the WORX GT does a great job of keeping the line length.
Overall, I think the WORX GT 2.0 is a great trimmer.
