While your mother was there to pick you up off the ground when you got hurt, tucked you in at night, read stories, made your lunch, did your laundry and about 50 thousand other things, let’s not forget about dad. Dad was the guy who taught you bad words, taught you how to belch, taught you how to do the one cheek sneak, taught you how to guzzle a can of beer in 10 seconds and taught you how to whistle at girls. Father’s Day is right around the corner, so we thought now might be a great time to put together a top ten Father’s Day gift guide.
Ryobi Garage Door Opener
Ryobi recently came out with a new and innovative garage door system. This would blow his mind if you bought him one of these. We had a chance to review the Ryobi Garage Door Opener and we love it. The system is modular which means it does a ton more than just open your garage door. You can add a cord reel, a Bluetooth speaker (great for when he wants to get away from mom’s yelling), a fan and more.
Dewalt Drill/Driver & Impact Wrench – 20V
The Dewalt 20V drill/Driver and Impact are awesome. This would make a perfect gift for him. They are lightweight, powerful and have a ton of run time. Make your Dad the coolest Dad on the block. Now when you go to the block parties, you won’t have to listen to him talk about his glory days in high school. Now you can listen to him tell your neighbors how wonderful his kids are. You can pay me later for this tip.
Bosch 12V Kit
Bosch makes some of the best tools on the market. This little kit may seem little, but it packs a powerful punch. The 12V Bosch is a great gift for your dad. Make sure when you give him this gift, tell him you were thinking about him and this would be perfect to fix all the things you broke over the years.
Makita 12V Kit
Here is another great 12V kit. While Makita isn’t new to the 12V market, this set is new. As with the Bosch these are lightweight and pack a powerful punch. Trust me, give this to your Dad before you ask him to borrow the car keys or tell him you need a loan. While he may not give you a loan, at least he won’t start yelling at you telling you about this whole job thing and how you need to move out of his basement.
Ryobi Kit
Ryobi gives you a ton of tools that won’t break the bank. When you give dad this gift he will think you paid a ton. It’s up to you if you want him to believe it or not. Just don’t let him step foot into another Home Depot because he will surely find out the price. This is a great starter kit for any dad.
Kobalt 24V Kit
Kobalt just came out with their new 24v line of tools, which is available at your local Lowes. For the power and what you get, the price isn’t too bad. Get this, they have a 2 Ah battery and it only cost $20. Not bad as these smaller batteries are awesome with the impact driver.
Ego Mower
This is the gift you give your dad and really make him think it’s for him, when actually it’s for you. Get rid of that old gas piece of junk and move up to the times. Since you are already cut the grass, why not make your life easier? Trust me on this one.
Masterbuilt Smoker
I really can’t think of a better gift than the gift of smoked meat. No more having to go out every ten minutes and check the temp. With this smoker, you can finally produce a great smoked meat. This is what I am asking from my 8 year old and 6 year old. Now I just have to get them a job on an assembly line somewhere so they can afford to buy it.
Dehydrator
AHHH beefy Jerky. Do I really need to say more? Probably not, but I am going to run my mouth anyways. I never got that memo how we have two ears and one mouth for a reason. I have the lower version of this dehydrator and love it. Does a great job, not too noisy and easy to clean and store.
Jerky Seasonings
If you have a dehydrator, you have to get Hi Mountain seasoning, I love this stuff. They have a ton to choose from. I am sure your dad will love it, if not you are set next time you want some jerky.
Beer
Seriously are you surprised this was in the father’s day gift guide? Not me especially because I am writing this. Who doesn’t like beer? Give the gift that keeps on giving. Okay the lawyers had me put this in here. Do not attempt to buy dad beer if you are under 21. Now I wouldn’t go with Schlitz, but I am sure you can find a good beer for the old man.
Cabelas Gift Card
Fishing, hunting, camping and good clothing. Every dad’s dream store. I take my kids there all the time and go fishing in their aquariums, well until they kick me out because apparently you can’t do that. I figure why deal with the weather and renting a boat when I can just go here and see exactly where the fish are.
****Bonus – A Picture
If all else fails, grab some Crayons and draw him a picture. It doesn’t matter how old you are. This is the perfect gift. It’s free, you don’t have to travel and it’s a gift he can’t return or complain about. If he does complain, just start crying and run into the other room. Trust me, you will be the one getting a gift for father’s day. See how easy it is to turn things around and prosper off Father’s Day?
Okay , so I don’t know how to count.
would love to get the Ryobi garage door opener or the Ego mower :}
