If you are part of the forum, then you all ready knew this was coming.  Actually NERemodeling told us about the Milwaukee cordless nailer way back in April 2015.  Then in January, DarynH gave us a sneak peak.  Why do I tell you about this.  Simple, if your not part of the power tool forum, you should sign up today.  Not only do you get to hang out with some of the best people around, but you get to learn about new and exciting tools before others.  Well not the moment you have been waiting for is now here, the Milwaukee nailer.  The Milwaukee nailers are now part of the M18 Fuel family.  As you know Milwaukee continues to expand their M18 line with new and innovative tools.  Today they just announced four new M18 Milwaukee finish nailers to their already huge line of cordless products.  I know what you’re thinking, there are a ton of cordless options on the market to pick from.  Well if you know Milwaukee, they always have to add a twist to their new tools.  Milwaukee is never happy with the status quo.

If you are familiar with Milwaukee Fuel line, then you probably already know what Fuel means.  For those who are maybe new to Milwaukee, Fuel is their brushless line.  Brushless tends to be more efficient.  See Tools in Action is not only fun, but informative.  So this is a huge plus for these nailers, a more efficient motor, means a longer run time.  Okay you can stop jumping up and down because there is more to these nailers.  While we haven’t gotten our hands on these, according to Milwaukee, these new Milwaukee nailers are the first cordless solutions on the market with the power to consistently seat nails sub-flush to hardwood surfaces with no ramp-up time and no gas cartridges.  Okay, you can start jumping up and down again.  This is a huge break through for cordless nailers that don’t rely on gas.  Battery nailers have been out for a while, but we tend to see these nailers have a consistency problem.  One pull of a trigger will set a nail deep and then the next it might leave it above the work surface a 1/16″.  While I will take their word on this, I would really love to see it in action to see first hand.  So the second part of these nailers that Milwaukee claims is the ramp up time.  Again, another huge break through.  We have seen time and time again with nailers firing the first, second and third shot great, but when you move on, the nailer tends to slow down because the motor needs to ramp up and fire another shot.   We have even seen some nailers that need to ramp up in order to even fire the first shot.  Again, it’s great having a nailer that isn’t tied to a noisy air compressor, but it can sometimes be frustrating with the lack of performance and waiting for a nailer to ramp up.  Again, this is something I would really like to see first hand regarding the ramp up time because I think this would be a huge reason to jump into this line of nailers.

You may be wondering about maintenance of these nailers.  I am not sure the maintenance schedule or what needs to be done, but again according to Milwaukee, the new Milwaukee Nailer guns are low maintenance.  Less downtime, always a plus.  If you take a look at the four new nailers below, one thing you will notice is their power source.  All the figures below show how these nailers perform with a 2 A/h battery.  With that said, these are pretty impressive numbers.  A smaller battery, means less weight, hooray.
