Dan first introduced me to Dorcy lights a while back with the Metal Gear XLM. In fact we have been using the Metal Gear for a while. Dorcy has been making flashlights for over 55 years, so obviously they are doing something right and they know what they are doing. One thing I have to say about Dorcy is I think you get a lot of flashlight for the money. They use a lot of high quality LED lights and parts to create a solid flashlight, but it doesn’t break the bank when you buy one.
So if your looking for an everyday carry light, work-light or dive light, Dorcy has you covered.
What We Like
- A lot of light for the money
- Strong
- Reliable
- Lots of features such as beam diameter, signal, momentary on
What We Don’t Like
- As of now it’s hard to find anything we don’t like for the money of these lights.

It weighs 8lbs !, must be a different model right ?, don’t think my full size Maglight with D cell batteries weighs that much…
A quality flashlight isnt hard to find…or so it apears…. Even chinese lights are made of qaulity aluminum and machined well and apear to be good…but only some brands hold that qaulity when it comes to the led used and the button which will differintiate the good from the bad. dorcy is qaulity from mu experience.. 55 years they doing somethig right
I love mine. It’s bright as hell, and built like a tank, thanks guys!
These look great great. I have a few Dorcey lights that my girls use for camping or late summer nights. Great flashlights for the money and I had mine for about 5 years. Laters TIA
