Uvex s3970df stealth otg safety goggles

Safety is the first thing we should think about, but usually it’s the last thing we think about.  I know for me, I hate wearing safety glasses because they tend to get in the way, feel weird or fog up.  Now I know that shouldn’t be an excuse, but I do use it as one.  We ended up finding a pair that is very comfortable and does a great job at not only protecting your eyes, but also being comfortable to wear.  The Uvex S3970DF is a great way to protect your eyes and not break your wallet.

  1. I use the yellow lensed version of these all the time, they are by far the best and most comfy goggles ive used. Another nice thing is they arent very expensive. Around $14 on Amazon I think.

While no goggles are really fog up proof, these do a really good job of keeping it down.

    1. Good point. For some of us, our prescription safety glasses are also our away-from-the-job reading glasses. You need goggles to protect them so they don’t take a direct hit and shatter, or become scratched while using a grinder. Putting several layers of protection between your eyes and your work project is a good thing.

  2. Bought the Dewalt ones based on your review but they bug my nose,so for only $14 I’ll give these a try and report back. Thanks for making us aware of other cost effective options (we already know you like Dewalt stuff)!
