Southwire Coil PAK

When it comes to electrical supplies and tools, Southwire is leading the pack.  They develop innovations to help the contractor make their life easier and safer all while trying to save money for the end user.  This brings me to one of those inventions that make you turn your head and think, why didn’t I think of that?  The Southwire SIMpull CoilPAK is an ingenious way to save money, time, stress, and your body. When it comes to innovation in the electrical world, leave it to Southwire, the leaders.

Southwire SIMpull CoilPAK – Information

So what is Southwire SIMpull CoilPAK?  Instead of the large spools that fall over, are hard to store, and hard to move around, SIMpull CoilPAKs are smaller, easier, safer, and just a better way to pull wire.  You can read more about the system at Southwire because they have so many solutions for this concept.

The CoilPAK Wire Payoff and CoilPAK Mini are great solutions for new construction and service trucks.

With new construction, the SIMpull CoilPAK Wire Payoff offers a NoLube wire jacket, the wire is fully encased so the wire is protected, the packaging has built-in handles, you can pull directly from the package without tools or equipment and they come in single, 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire solutions.  So this innovation reduces pulling weight since you are only pulling the weight of the wire.  The NoLube wire jacket assists and reduces the pulling tension.  Another benefit is it’s easy to set up and move around compared to wire wagons, plus no broken or spool over-turns.  In the end, you save time and reduce injuries.

The Southwire SIMpull CoilPAK Minis are great for service trucks.  No more taking up space and no more long setups when you get to the job.  Just grab a mini, go to the desired location, and start working right away.

While there are a lot of features that make this product unique, one of my favorites is you can get multiple wires in a single pack.  Let’s say you have to pull wire and it’s far away from your truck.  Instead of taking multiple spools to the location, they have different packs that have multiple wires together.  So you grab a single pack and you can pull multiple lines at once.  How nice is that?  Think of all the different times that this would come in handy; saving time, money, and your body.

Southwire SIMpull CoilPAK – Benefits

While the SIMpull CoilPAKs have a lot of benefits, here are some that I wanted to touch on.

  • Smart packaging so they are easy to store and transport
  • No more broken spools or spools that overturn
  • The SIMpull pulls two times easier than your standard spools
  • They come in a multi-wire system so you can take one SIMpull to a location to get the job done instead of multiple spools
  • Stationary package design requires less pulling effort
  • Reduces lifting, handling, and pulling injuries.

Southwire SIMpull CoilPAK – In Use

Here is what a three-wire CoilPAK looks like.  As you can see, it has a heavy-duty outside container that holds the wire in place.  No more bringing in heavy reels for a job.  When it’s time to pull the wire, it easily comes out of the packaging.

Also, they are stackable which is great for transporting or while storing on a job.

Southwire SIMpull CoilPAK – Wrap Up

SIMpull CoilPAK is a great idea and a great product.  These packs help save space, time, frustration, and reduce jobsite fatigue. Innovation like this is just another reason Southwire is a leading supplier to professional electricians and contractors.  They truly create products that are better for the contractor and installer.
