I am not usually good at keeping secrets, but we heard about this one a few months back. I feared if I talked about it, a team of Milwaukee hit men would show up at my house in the new M12 Heated Camo Jackets and take me out! But now we are free to talk about it. It is cool being a tool blogger, I have been using these pliers for about a month now and absolutely love them!
We have been telling you how Milwaukee is changing the playing field by working with tradesman and making their life easier. Well these pliers were essentially designed by electricians. Milwaukee sent field agents out to work with electricians and came up with some interesting finds. First they noticed that electricians would buy brand new pliers and cut off the ends of the grips. What was this strange phenomenon? Well its easier to just use the ends of the pliers to ream than have to grab a reaming tool. They killed 2 birds with one stone by adding another tool and saving on weight. The head of the tool can also be used for deburring up to 1-1/2” to 2-3/4” pipe while the handles can ream up to 2 3/4″ conduit depending on the model.
Our scale weighed the tool at just 8 ounces which is lighter than most, the tool is compact and has a narrow head that allows it to fit in the tightest of areas. With its V-Notched jaws it grips bolts and electrical fasteners with ease. The 16 positions are easily adjusted with with your thumb for true one handed operation. One thing that annoys me on most pliers is cheap grips, you know the ones just dipped in plastic. That is not the case with the Milwaukee pliers, they have a real nice plastic over molded grip that feels tight and secure. I am not an electrician by any means, but when I need pliers these are the first ones I grab. Light weight, easy to work with and they grip and stay locked on like a rabid dog.
Forged, rust resistant and backed by Milwaukee’s Lifetime hand tool warranty, these will be the last set of pliers you will ever buy. Unless your like me and have to have 50 pairs of pliers cause you can never find them when you need them. Check out the other new pliers from Milwaukee.
