Bosch is known for a lot of things in the power tool world, but one thing they dominate in is the concrete industry. We were lucky enough to see a bunch of their new concrete tools at the World of Concrete in Vegas. Anyone who works with concrete can put their two cents in and tell you a story of a Bosch tool that just dominated a concrete application. I know in the early 90’s when I was a labor, I had a Bosch that took a beating and kept on running. In fact, I dropped mine down into the old underground tunnel from the sub basement in Chicago and it still worked. Well it wasn’t mine, it was a job bought tool. Well the Bosch world got just a little bigger with their new introduction, the Bosch RH1255VC. This new rotary hammer is a beast and pretty much will destroy anything that gets in its way. The new Bosch RH1255VC is a 2″ SDS-Max® Rotary Hammer with TurboTM Power and Constant Response Circuitry. Wow that is a mouth full.
Information on the Bosch RH1255VC
This rotary hammer has the best power-to-weight ratio in its class, delivering 14.1 ft.-lbs. of impact energy while only weighing 27 lbs. That’s pretty much a ball buster on concrete and not on the user. To handle that much power, the rotary hammer features Vibration Control™ technology. Which offers a mass-damper control in the hammer mechanism and isolation technology in the handle, which further reduces vibration levels at the user’s hands. The hammer also is equipped with a constant response circuitry which provides smoother starts and more precise hole placements. This hammer has a variable speed dial which provides two drilling speeds and allows the user to match speed to application. As with the other Bosch concrete tools, this has a Vario-Lock™ positioning feature that allows users to rotate and lock the chisel with precision.
I don’t know about you, but to me this seems to be one hard hitting, smooth handling, bad a** tool.
On my list of tools to get! #tiacrew
